Consular office hours: Monday till Thursday, 09:00 till 12:00 hrs. We are closed on Austrian holidays: 26 Oct, 1 Nov, 8 and 26 Dec.
Since 2016, applications for Schengen visas (up to 90 days) are mostly operated by VFS Global Service in Lagos and Abuja. Detailed information on application modalities is available on the VFS website.
For appointments concerning legalisation of documents, please contact the online reservation system.

Visit by Deputy Minister of Economy
In February 2016, the Austrian Deputy Minister of Economy, Ms Bernadette Gierlinger, paid an official visit to Nigeria. During her successful talks in Lagos and Abuja with high-ranking Nigerian officials, ways of strengthening bilateral economic ties were discussed.
Visit by President of Chamber of Trade
The first visit to West Africa by a President of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce took place in September 2013. A delegation of 30 businessmen accompanied President Christoph Leitl on his historic visit to Lagos and Accra.
