Richard Zeiss is an Austrian, London-based artist who received an MA from Central Saint Martins in London. The Exhibition will feature select works completed during his residency at Da Wang Culture Highland.
Richard’s austere works merge two of his main artistic interests – speed, as discussed by the French philosopher Paul Virilio; and light. Much like film negatives, Zeiss works to create uncanny settings and narratives through systematic experiments with light and void space in the painting plane. Richard’s work has been shown internationally, and it has also been featured at the Frieze, ARCO, and Berlin Art Forum.
