General information:
- If your visit involves two or more Schengen countries, please visit the Embassy of the country of your main destination (longest stay). Only if there is no clear main destination (i.e. round trips through Europe), the Embassy of the country of first entry is responsible for visa issuance.
- The total length of stay shall not exceed 90 days in any half year, from the date of first entry
- Application fees equivalent to 60 Euro for Visa C or 75 Euro for Visa D respectively have to be paid in cash at the time of application. The visa fee for citizens of Ukraine, Russian Federation, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Moldau is 35 Euro. All fees are payable in local currency at the rate of the month which you will find displayed in the embassy. In case of denial of the visa there is no refund. Children under the age of 6 years are free of charge. The visa fee for children from 6 to 12 years of age is 35 Euro.
- All supporting documents have to be translated to English or German. Applications will only be accepted upon submission of all the required documents! Additional documents may be required in certain circumstances, 1 set of photocopies of all documents has to be handed in with the application
- Incomplete, unclear, illegible or unsigned applications will not be accepted
- There is no legal right to a visa
- The possession of a valid visa does not automatically entitle its bearer to enter the Schengen territory. Immigration authorities could also request additional documents (i.e. hotel reservation, air ticket, sufficient funds, invitation letter, insurance, etc.) to be produced
- The purpose of the proposed visit may not be altered once the visa has been issued (after entering the Schengen territory). If you are interested in extending the visa, please enquire as to whether it is possible to do so at the time it is issued
