Temporary Closure of the Austrian Honorary Consulates
The following Austrian Honorary Consulates in Australia and New Zealand will be temporarily closed:
- Auckland: closed from 5 July until 1 August 2010
- Perth: closed from 6 July until 29 July 2010
In case of emergency please contact the Austrian Embassy in Canberra.
New Schengen Visa Regulations

Repatriation of Aboriginal Remains
Presentation of a DVD by Neil Carter from the Gooniyandi/Kija Community to the Austrian people as token of appreciation for the repatriation of human remains.
Mobile Passport Application in 2010
An officer of the Embassy will travel to certain Austrian Honorary Consulates in Australia and New Zealand during the course of the year 2010 with a mobile fingerprint scanner. Austrian citizens who are unable to apply for a new passport in Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth or Auckland may use these opportunities to submit their passport application.
Passport applications will be possible at the:
- Honorary Consulate General Brisbane: 5 October 2010
- Honorary Consulate Adelaide: 29 October 2010
