Visa applicants must ensure that they apply in plenty of time (recommendation: four weeks) prior to their travel date, as we will not be able to accept or process any applications during the week Monday, 8 February – Friday, 12 February.

Oscar Nominations for Austria

'The White Ribbon' is now showing at Landmark Cinemas in Chicago.
Austrian director Michael Haneke’s film ‘Das Weiße Band’ (The White Ribbon) has been nominated for an Oscar in the category ‘Best Foreign Language Film’. Austrian actor Christoph Waltz has also been nominated for 'Best Actor in a Supporting Role' for his portrayal of SS Officer Hans Landa in Quentin Tarantino's film 'Inglourious Basterds'.
The 82nd Academy Awards Ceremony will take place in Los Angeles on March 7, 2010.
