RHI celebrates 50 years operations in Turkey with Janissary and Styrian music

Eskişehir, 5 July 2013 – In 1963, "Veitscher Magnesit" as the company was called then, acquired a magnesite deposit near Eskişehir in Western Anatolia. Since then, the site has developed into the largest base for RHI's raw materials production. The Austrian producer of refractories operates 34 production sites on 4 continents.

Local dignitaries from Turkey and the Austrian Ambassador in Ankara, Klaus Wölfer, as well as the Director of the Austrian Foreign Trade Centre Konstantin Bekos celebrated the successful first 50 years together with RHI CEO Franz Struzl, COO Franz Buxbaum and Managing Director Ekrem Bulur. The Styrian fellow subsidiary in Breitenau had sent its 60-man miners band to the celebration who together with a janissary band accounted for a harmonious Austrian-Turkish musical background.
