State Secretary Reinhold Lopatka stresses importance of EU support for former social services sector employees in Styria

Vienna, 22 March 2013 – "I greatly appreciate the support being provided to Austrians by the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund ", State Secretary Lopatka said. "In the framework of the EU multi-annual financial framework 2014-2020 we agreed on a continuation of the fund and on improving its working methods", the State Secretary said.

"Losing your job will always put you in a difficult situation, and therefore we need to do everything in our power to support all people faced with this problem in their efforts to find another job", Lopatka said. 5.2 million euros from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund will go to 350 former social services sector employees in Styria who have lost their jobs.
