Austria-Switzerland/Re-opening of the Honorary Consulate General Geneva/Service point for Austrians living in Switzerland

Vienna/Geneva, 3 September 2012 – On Monday, 3 September 2012 the Honorary Consulate General in Geneva will be re-opened. In a festive ceremony on 28 August, attended by representatives from the Cantons of Geneva and Vaud and representatives of the Austrian community in Switzerland, the new Honorary Consul General, Swiss lawyer Robert Zoells, stressed the excellent and close bilateral relations between Switzerland and Austria. He underlined, in particular, the honorary consulate’s valuable role of service provider for Austrians living abroad. Robert Zoells has been a partner in the Geneva law firm de Weck Perren since 2004, he is a Swiss citizen and spent his teens in Austria taking his school-leaving examination in Vienna in 1978.
