Baritone Peter Edelmann at the Cultural Forum in Rome

Marking Holocaust Remembrance Day

Rome, 28 January 2010 – The Austrian Cultural Forum in Rome commences 2010 with a recital by the well-known Austrian baritone Peter Edelmann. On 29 January, in order to mark the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, he will sing lieder by ostracised composers Alexander Zemlinsky, Erich Zeisl, Erich Wolfgang Korngold and Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy.

On 31 January 2010, Peter Edelmann will give a performance at the renowned Accademia Filarmonica Romana, where he will sing lieder by Robert Schumann, Gustav Mahler and Richard Strauss.

Austrian pianist Manfred Schiebel will accompany Edelmann in both performances.

Admission to the events at the Austrian Cultural Forum in Rome is free of charge.
