Performance Urban Walk: Here Whilst We Walk
The artist Andrea Sonnberger (Austria) and Gustavo Ciríaco (Brasil) take the public for an urban walk. Inspired by the long tradition which links walks to the production of thoughts and awareness, the two performers start a silent journey through the city. A changing contact with a space that moves and is moved instantaneously.
This project was created within the frame of Encontros 2005/06, an initiative of alkantara (Lisboa) with the collaboration of Panorama de Danca (Rio de Janeiro). Premiered in Alkantara Festival, June 2006 – Lisbon, Portugal.

Info for participants:
• The walk will last approximately one hour.
• The entire walk takes place outside. Dress for the weather.
• The walk involves crossing roads.
• In some places there might be uneven ground and you should take care throughout. Flat and tennis shoes are recommended.
• You are asked not to use any form of photography.
• Please switch off your mobile phones for the duration.
• The walk may end away from the starting point but you be led back.
• No push-chairs, wheelchairs or bicycles are accepted.
• Children under 5 are accepted if their parents carry them. The walk is not recommended to people with walking disabilities, but their participation is welcome if they want to try.
• The show cannot work with less than 6 audience. In case of that or extreme weather, the artists and the presenter will discuss with audience who already come to the site, and decide together if the show still goes on. If the show needs to be cancelled, audience will receive full refund.
