As by present planning a press briefing will be held on June 7, 2006, at approx. 10:00 hrs. by the representative of the EU Presidency, the Federal Minister for Health and Women of the Republic of Austria, Mrs. Maria Rauch-Kallat together with the United States Under Secretary for Democracy and Global Affairs, Mrs. Paula Dobriansky, and the United Nations System Senior Co-ordinator for Avian and Human Influenza, Dr. David Nabarro.
The press briefing will take place at the conference center of the former Imperial Palace (Hofburg), at the "Kesselhaushofsaal", with simulatnious English/German translation. Journalists are invited to use the entrance "Heldenplatz" and to register at the - than - provided desk for press accreditation. Access will be restricted to journalists with a valid press identification only.
A debriefing on the outcome of the conference is foreseen at the same venue at 17:45 hours.
