International Cultural Policy
A proactive and innovative international cultural policy is a quality benchmark of Austria’s foreign policy. Its tasks and objectives are precisely formulated in the International Cultural Policy Concept 2011, which is in force since September 2011. In a nutshell, we aim at creating international moments of attention for the creative side of Austria using culture as a medium.

On February 27 and 28, 2013 the 5th United Nations Alliance of Civilizations' Global Forum was held in Vienna.
Arab-European Young Leader Forum II – Cairo November 11 – 15, 2012
The Arab-European Young Leaders Forum is a joint initiative between the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs and the Arab League. In follow-up to the successful first Forum in Vienna in 2010, the second edition took place in November 2012 in Cairo. 25 young leaders between 25 and 40 discussed the role of media and civil society in countries in transformation.
