Conventional Weapons

Over the past years, the disarmament and non-proliferation of conventional weapons has taken center stage in international disarmament efforts. Anti-personnel mines (APLM), cluster munitions (CM), small arms and light weapons (SALW), and other conventional weapons not only represent a veritable danger during armed conflicts, but also cause human suffering long after the end of these conflicts.
