In 1950 Israel and Austria established consular relations and the first Austrian Consulate General opened the same year in Tel Aviv (84, Hayarkon St., 1st floor). In 1956 the Consulate General moved to 11, Herman Cohen St. in Tel Aviv. In 1957 the Consulate General was raised to the status of “Delegation” and in 1959 was upgraded to an Embassy. In 2000 the Embassy moved to its new offices at “Beit Crystal”, 12, HaKhilazon St., Ramat Gan.
