For birth, marriage, and death certificates, or excerpts of the birth, marriage, or death register please contact the competent Registry Office (“Standesamt”) directly.

Please note that until 31.12.1938 religious institutions or churches in Austria kept the birth, marriage, and death registers.

Therefore, documents for persons of Jewish decent can be obtained from:

If Austrian documents are processed via this Embassy an additional fee of EUR 18,- per document has to be paid.
