The Embassy
Welcome
Dear fellow countrymen and -women, as well as friends of Austria!
It is a pleasure to welcome you online to the Austrian Embassy Pretoria. Our website keeps you up- to-date on events organsised by the Embassy, gives information on administrative matters, links you up with news from and on Austria, and gives an overview on the bilateral relations between Austria and the countries within our responsibility.
Our advisory service will give useful information on travelling to Austria, be it as tourist, student or for other reasons, and is also an entry point on administrative issues for Austrians who are temporalily or permanenently living in South Africa and the six other countries covered from this Embassy. You can download the main forms and documents needed to obtain a Schengen visa, a passport, various certificates, ect.
Our website is being regurlarly updated and improved. We are interested to hear from you how we can usefully develop this site. Should you want to be added to our mailing list or have any other feedback, statements, commentaries, or questions, please contact us on pretoria-ob(at)bmeia.gv.at.
Unfortunately, we had to close the Austrian Consulate General in Cape Town by the end of October, 2010. By the end of 2011, the Austrian Embassy in Harare was closed, too. The Embassy in Pretoria therefore now covers three more countries: Angola, Mozambique and Zimbabwe.
