Retirement

In order to be entitled to an Austrian pension you must have paid for 180 months into the compulsory pension fund. Basically, the pension age for men is at 65 and for women at 60 year. The pension must be applied for.

As per January 1st 2003 the pension funds for workers and employees (the former "Pensionsversicherungsanstalten der Arbeiter bzw. der Angestellten" merged to a single "Pensionsversicherungsanstalt". If you are living outside Austria the responsible office is the following:
