Concert "Forbidden Music" by composers banned by the Nazis
Francesca Canali, a flautist living in Salzburg (www.francescacanali.com), together with pianist Anneke Lamond, will play a recital with music banned by the Nazis. Works by Austrians Vally Weigl (1894 in Vienna - 1982 in New York) and Erwin Schulhoff (1894 in Prague - 1942 in Weißenburg (Bavaria)) as well as by Felix Mendelssohn, Bela Bartok, Olivier Messiaen and Sigfrid Karg-Elert will be played.
