Bilateral Relations

Besides helping and providing different services to Austrian citizens living or travelling in the area of responsibility of the Embassy, the Embassy is also responsible fort he political, cultural and economic relations in general as well as for development cooperation for the following countries: Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, Madagascar, Mauritius, South Africa and Swaziland.

Ambassador Dr. Otto Ditz has also been accredited as the Austrian representative to the Southern African Development Community (SADC)
