The Austrian Embassy in Nicosia was opened in 2005, immediately after Cyprus joined the European Union in 2004. Through our common EU membership our already excellent bilateral relations have acquired a new quality.

The Austrian Embassy in Nicosia endeavours to promote and support the further development of manifold contacts between our two countries, be it in the political, economic, cultural and scientific area, be it on expert level in various fields.

Tourism to and from Austria brings our two countries closer together on a people-to-people level. Sometimes this may necessitate the Embassy’s assistance either to provide additional information or to help in cases of emergency. The website offers this assistance as a first point of contact. In case of an emergency the Embassy can be reached at any time.
