Austria has an excellent educational system. Teaching language is German. There are, however, also a number of biligual schools.
In addition there are also available private schools with German as teaching language for all grades at moderate prices. On the website of the Federal Ministry of Education you will find a complete list of schools (public and private).
In Vienna the following English-speaking schools also offer the International Bakkalaureat (IB). These schools are based either on the US-American or on the British teaching system.
The American International School Salzburg is the only American boarding school in Austria, where students are prepared for college and university.
Lycée Français in Vienna takes students from Kindergarten up to the grade 12. It finishes with the French Baccalauréat or the Austrian school-leaving exam, which enables the students to enter university.
