Bilateral Relations Tanzania

Austria has established diplomatic ties with Tanzania shortly after Tanzania’s independence in 1961. In late 1962, a Honorary Consulate was established in Dar Es Salaam, which has been operational until today.

Bilateral ties with Tanzania are friendly. Despite the fact that all bilateral development cooperation projects have expired some time ago, Austria still supports a number of projects that are being implemented by Austrian NGOs.
