Visa
The Embassy of Austria Manila is happy to inform you regarding your travel to Austria. Here you will find information on how to obtain a visa, the application and the procedure, the costs and all the necessary steps.
1. General Information:
The Consular fees for the issuance of a Visa are:
- Schengen visa: EUR 60,--
- National Visa, vaild for Austria: EUR 100,--
(payable only in Philippine Pesos).
There are no additional fees. The application form is available free of charge.
The consular fee is a facilitation fee that needs to be paid upon submission of the application and will not refunded even in the case of a refusal. The facilitation of an application for visa or residence permit may only start once the consular fee has been paid.
The Embassy of Austria Manila is representing the Republic of Lithuania in visa matters. Persons with a residence in the Philippines, who want to travel to Lithuania can apply for a (Schengen) visa at the Embassy of Austria Manila. The requirements for the (Schengen) visa for Lithuania are the same as for a Schengen visa with destination Austria. Also it is necessary to book in for an appointment.
The Embassy warns to consult any so called Visa- or Recruitment agency, which collects high amounts for the acquisition of visa. These agencies usually use illegal methods. The visa applicant who uses the services of such agencies risks to be refused, as well as to be black-listed among all Schengen member states.
The visa application has to be filed in in person. The application is responsible for the authenticity of the data submitted as well as the completion of the application submitted. This also refers to cases, if a booking has been made through a travel agent. Any changes occurring after the submission of an application (destination, purpose of travel, travel dates, flights, hotel accomodation) have to be reported to the Embassy immediately.
The correctness and completeness of an application and all documents submitted is of highly importance for the fast facilitation of an application.
A current list of consular fees can be downloaded here.
Please note that the Austrian Schengen visa allows you to enter Schengen territory. However, also travelers that secured a valid Schengen visa may be refused entry to Schengen territory under certain circumstances, e.g. if the traveler is not able to explain the reason of his/her trip and/ or is not able to present sufficient proof for his/ her travel purpose to the Schengen border police.
Additionally, the Philippine Bureau of Immigration might ask nationals of the Republic of the Philippines to present documents that explain their travel purpose and/ or the necessary financial means upon departing the Philippines. The Austrian Embassy in Manila cannot offer any kind of assistance in securing the documents needed for departing Philippine territory. Please contact the Philippine Bureau of Immigration if you need further information on that topic.
