Karin Proidl
Doctor’s degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Vienna. Diplome d' Etudes Approfondies (D.E.A.) in International Law and Law of the International Organizations from the University Paris I - Panthéon Sorbonne. Since January 1992, she is a member of the Austrian Diplomatic Service. Karin Proidl served in the Office of the Legal Advisor and the Department for Political Affairs of the Foreign Ministry in Vienna. Prior to her posting in Los Angeles, she served in the Office of the Federal Minister for European and International Affairs in Vienna. Her postings abroad: Permanent Mission of Austria to the European Council in Strasbourg, Permanent Mission of Austria to the United Nations in New York, Deputy Director of the Austrian Cultural Forum in London, Deputy Head of Mission of the Austrian Embassy in Tel Aviv. Since August 2009, Karin Proidl is the Austrian Consul General in Los Angeles.
