Do I Need an Airport Transit Visa?

You will be required to have an Airport Transit Visa for Austria if you are a national of one of the following countries:

Afghanistan

Bangladesh

Democratic Republic of Congo

Eritrea*, Ethiopia

Ghana

Iran*, Iraq

Liberia

Nigeria

Pakistan

Somalia,  Sri Lanka

All other nationalities do not need an Airport Transit Visa for Austria

Required Documents for an airport transit visa:

*         Completed application form

*         A national passport or official travel document valid for more than 3 months beyond the validity of the requested visa, with two blank pages to affix the visa sticker.

*         2 passport-sizes photos according to ICAO standards
            (please do not staple or damage the photo)

*         Airline Ticket (reservation) forcomplete journey

*         Visa for onward destination, if required

*         Visa Application Fee
