Children included in parent’s passport
The endorsements of children in valid passports of their parents expire on 15th June 2012. Each child, including newborns, must be issued with their own passport in order to travel. The passport of the parent itself still will be valid until the expiry date – only the holder of the passport can travel with it.
Please find all information regarding the issuance of passports for children further down.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Since the 30th of March 2009 Austrian biometric passports will include fingerprints. Fingerprints usually will be taken from both index fingers. No fingerprints will be taken from children under 12.
