Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz on the occasion of the Austrian National Day
Dear Austrian expatriates!
I am very happy that, on occasion of our National Day, I am given the opportunity to direct a few words to you. In the last ten months in my role as Minster for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs I have already had the opportunity to meet some of you in person, but by no means all of our 500.000 Austrian expatriates. Every single one of you has not only an exciting story to tell, but also every one of you is, especially for us as Republic of Austria, an important hallmark in the world. The positive image that Austria enjoys is often very closely linked to our Austrian expatriates and this is why I, on occasion of the National Day, want to cordially invite you to make use of the services our Austrian embassies provide for you abroad.
I hope you will have a wonderful National day. I would be glad, if you would seize the opportunity in participating in one of our embassies receptions on the occasion of the National Day and sincerely wish you the best of success on your further endeavours. Likewise I hope you will stay in touch with the Republic of Austria.
