If you want to stay longer than six months in Austria or if you intend to work, you have to apply for a residency-permit, not a visa.
Tourist-visas, which are issued according to your travel-schedule but usually for validity up to three months maximum, cannot be renewed in Austria.
Please fill in exactly when (from ... until ...) you want to stay in Austria (and any other Schengen countries, if applicable) as well as visas of countries you intend to visit after your stay in Austria. Please state a day-time phone number on your application. For Travel Health Insurance contact your travel agent.
Please be informed that incomplete applications will have to be returned for completion.
Upon receipt of the complete application the procedure usually takes approximately one to four weeks. However, in some cases the procedure may take considerably longer.
