We are happy to introduce to you our new Consul and Deputy Consul General Michael Kratzer, whom some of you may remember from his first tenure in Hong Kong some years ago, and Mr. Wolfgang Egger, who is succeeding Ms. Elisabeth Freudensprung as assistant to the Consul General – we are glad we have them on the team now!
Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival (SCL) in Vienna 3rd to 8th July
Founded in 2007, this annual global festival provides a unique platform for the world's most talented youth choirs, bands and orchestras to perform in Vienna's magnificent Musikverein and get in touch with other young musicians from all over the world.
With its high standards of the organizational committee, the jury, and, most importantly, of the festival participants, the SCL Festival has gained the broad support of the Austrian public and of many national and international decision makers in the field of politics and culture. This year’s honorary board includes our Federal President Dr. Heinz Fischer as well as the Federal Minister for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs Mr. Sebastian Kurz and the Director General for Cultural Policy in the Federal Minitry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs, Dr. Martin Eichtinger.
Young musicians from Hong Kong are most welcome to join in and again help to make the SCL Festival a big success!
