The first half of 2012 will see a number of Austrian cultural events in Ireland: After the participation of Brigitta Busch (University of Vienna) in the EUNIC-Series "Children and Migration"in February, the Austrian director Udo Maurer will discuss his film "Above Water" on May 15th with Irish experts in the framework of the film series "Climate-Culture-Change".
On May 16th the young Austrian writer Nadja Spiegel will represent Austria at the European Literature Night in Dublin. Nadja Spiegel, born 1992, writes prosa and lyric. She was rewarded with the 1st price of sprichcode 2010 and the Meta-Merz-Preis 2009. 2011 she received the literature grant of Vorarlberg. Nadja will also meet kids from "Fighting Words" and students of the creative writing class of TCD.
On May 22nd and 23rd Klaus Obermaier will present "Apparation" at the International Dance Festival Ireland.
