Sculpture by the Sea 2013
Markus Hanakam and Roswitha Schuller are a German-Austrian artist duo with studio in Vienna. Their work is concentrated around advanced sculpting, which includes sculpting as well as new media.
The artist duo has received several awards and received last year the Austrian Government Scolarship of Fine Art, which was a financial support to it's new filmic work. Out of this has come a number of different sculptural objects from which three are selected to be shown at the Exhibition Sculpture by the Sea, which will take place in June 2013.
Sculpture by the Sea is an international sculpture exhibition, which is located in the Bay of Aarhus. In 2011 artists from 22 countries filled the Bay with 65 impressive, contrasting and experimental sculptures and turned the three-kilometre-long stretch of coast from Tangkrogen to Ballehage into a spectacular outdoor art gallery. Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary are patrons of Sculpture by the Sea Aarhus, Denmark and will be present at the opening.
