Passport Applications Accepted at Austrian Consulate General in Detroit
The Austrian Honorary Consulate General in Detroit will be open for passport applicants on April 8, 2010 from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. upon appointment.

Oscar for Christoph Waltz!
Two years after Austrian director Stefan Ruzowitzky’s film 'The Counterfeiters' took home the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film, Austrian actor Christoph Waltz has won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his role as SS Officer Hans Landa in Quentin Tarantino’s 'Inglourious Basterds'.
Two Austrian films are currently playing at the Gene Siskel Film Center as part of the EU Film Festival: 'The Bone Man' by Wolfgang Murnberger and 'Lourdes' by Jessica Hausner. Please visit the website www.siskelfilmcenter.org for showtimes.
