Import of Electronic Equipments
As a rule, you do not need any permit to import broadcasting receivers, such as radios or television sets, into Austria. However, you must have these devices registered, for example at a post office.
Radar or laser warning equipment, scanners to listen in on broadcasting services or similar devices are subject to strict regulations. Already before bringing these items to Austria, you should obtain all required information from the Austrian Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology
