Registration
If you are an Austrian citizen residing for a longer period of time or even permanently within the area of jurisdiction of the Austrian Embassy in Australia (i.e. Australia, Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Samoa, Tuvalu, Tonga, Vanuatu), we strongly encourage you to register with us.
Why should I register with the Embassy?
If you register with the Embassy, we are in a better position to get in contact with you in an emergency or crisis. We might be able to provide you with useful information, liaise with worried relatives and friends in Austria etc. In addition, we would inform you about upcoming Austrian elections and how to participate in them.
We can only help you, if we know that you are here!
The registration form can be filled in and submitted online. Alternatively, you can print it out and then send it via e-mail (canberra-ob(at)bmeia.gv.at) or via fax (+61 2 6239 6751) to the Austrian Embassy.
It goes without saying that your personal data is protected by Austrian privacy laws.
