Temporary Closure of Austrian Consulates in Australia and New Zealand
- The Honorary Consulate Perth is temporarily closed. Please contact the Austrian Embassy in Canberra or one of our Consulates in Australia.
As of 01.07.2011 passport applications in Australia have to be lodged in person through the Embassy in Canberra or the Honorary Consulates Melbourne or Sydney. - The Honorary Consulate General Brisbane is closed from 07.12.2011 until further notice.
- The Honorary Consulate Cairns is closed from 07. until 27.02.2012.

Expiry of Child-Entries in the Austrian Passport of a Parent
Until June 2009 children could be entered into the Austrian passport of one or both parents. These entries will automatically expire on 15 June 2012 and every child will require a separate passport to travel. The parent's passport will remain valid until the end of the validity.
