Elections for the Regional Governments of Vienna and Styria 2010
In autumn 2010 the elections for the regional governments of Vienna and Styria are held. Participation via overseas ballot is possible for Austrians that have their main residency (Hauptwohnsitz) registered in one of these provinces.

New Schengen Visa Regulations

Repatriation of Aboriginal Remains
Presentation of a DVD by Neil Carter from the Gooniyandi/Kija Community to the Austrian people as token of appreciation for the repatriation of human remains.
Mobile Passport Application in 2010
An officer of the Embassy will travel to certain Austrian Honorary Consulates in Australia and New Zealand during the course of the year 2010 with a mobile fingerprint scanner. Austrian citizens who are unable to apply for a new passport in Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth or Auckland may use these opportunities to submit their passport application.
Passport applications will be possible at the:
- Honorary Consulate General Brisbane: 5 October 2010
- Honorary Consulate Adelaide: 29 October 2010
