Elections for the Austrian Federal President
On 25 April 2010 the Austrian Presidential elections will be held. Austrians living abroad are again able to participate.

Presentation of a DVD by Neil Carter from the Gooniyandi/Kija Community to the Austrian people as token of appreciation for the repatriation of human remains.
Mobile Passport Application in 2010
An officer of the Embassy will travel to certain Austrian Honorary Consulates in Australia and New Zealand during the course of the year 2010 with a mobile fingerprint scanner. Austrian citizens who are unable to apply for a new passport in Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth or Auckland may use these opportunities to submit their passport application.

Advance Directive/Living Will
The Advance Directive/Living Will (Patientenverfügung) provides information on a patients wishes concerning the refusal of certain treatment in case of accidents or servere illness etc.
Austrian citizens living abroad are able to register an Advance Directive through a Notary Public in Austria.
