Concerts Vienne à Beyrouth et à Tripoli
Concerts „Vienne à Beyrouth“ (11.1.2013) and „Vienne à Tripoli“ (12.1.2013) with Robert Lehrbaumer and the Lebanese Philharmonic Orchestra
It was for the tenth time that the Austrian conductor Robert Lehrbaumer and the Lebanese Philharmonic Orchestra playing waltzes and polkas by the brothers Josef and Johann Strauss as well as pieces by Richard Wagner and Guiseppe Verdi, whose 200th birthdays are being commemorated this year, created a storm of enthusiasm among the music lovers in Beirut. The programme also included the premieres of works by the Lebanese composer David Neal Lewis and the Austrian Jakob Wagner.
Upon the initiative of the Austrian Embassy the concert was for the first time performed in Tripoli, which proved to be a great success.
