New hours of operation as of January 1st 2010 !
The Austrian Embassy in Abu Dhabi will, as of Jan 1st 2010 change its hours of operation and will take seasonal ups and downs in the UAE into account. The hours of operation for visas and other consular matters will be disengaged. For further information kindly find the time-table in the left column on our website.
New Visa Information Service and Appointment System
The Austrian Embassy in Abu Dhabi has launched a new Visa Information Service (VIS) and telefon-based Appointment System on July 1st, 2009.
The new biometric passport
All applicants at the age of 12 yrs and older are obliged to PERSONALLY attend when applying, so fingerprints can be taken.
Information regarding the new Austrian passport (in german language)
With immediate effect passports for minors are only issued WITH data-chip. Adding minors to the passport of their parents is NOT POSSIBLE anymore!
Please call the Embassy to arrange for an appointment to apply for a new Austrian passport! This will spare long waiting times at the Consulate.
