Austrian Embassy started operations in new location
The Austrian Embassy Abu Dhabi has reopened in its new location in Sky Tower at Reem Island, Abu Dhabi.
Cooperation with VFS Global as of 01.12.2011
Starting with immediate effect you can arrange for an appointment to apply for visa through our new outsourcing partner VFS Global (appointments start from 04.12.2011!).

The new biometric passport
All applicants at the age of 12 yrs and older are obliged to PERSONALLY attend when applying, so fingerprints can be taken.
Information regarding the new Austrian passport (in german language)
With immediate effect passports for minors are only issued WITH data-chip. Adding minors to the passport of their parents is NOT POSSIBLE anymore!
!!! ATTENTION !!! Entries of minors in parents' passport will lose their validity as per 15.06.2012 !!! More information you will find in the 'passport' section.
Please call the Embassy to arrange for an appointment to apply for a new Austrian passport! This will spare long waiting times at the Consulate.
