Poetry reading with Elazar Benyoëtz
Elazar Benyoëtz was born in 1937 in Wiener Neustadt, Austria. Only two years later, his family escaped to Palestine. His first books were written in Hebrew, but since 1969 he has written all of his books in German.
Benyoëtz is a reformer of the aphoristic genre in Germany and has won numerous awards, including the Adelbert-von-Chamisso award and the Medal of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.
His reading “No Force Controls Fainting” (in German) at the Goethe Institute will be accompanied by the music of Jan Kühne.
