Embacher Collection at the Design Museum Holon
In November, the Design Museums Holon opens an exhibition of bicycles titled “Free Wheel – Cyclepedia, Iconic Bicycle Design”. About 45 of the 100 exhibits are from the Embacher Collection, the world’s largest bicycle collection. Additionally, there will be various environment and school projects dealing with the topic.
The private bicycle collection of the Viennese architect Michael Embacher contains about 275 exemplars. As the collection was established and expanded throughout the last decades, the collection illustrates technological, social and design developments of bicycles.
