Advocates 1938

Presentation of the book „Advocates 1938” by Barbara Sauer and Dr. Ilse Reiter-Zatloukal in the Club of the Austrians in Tel Aviv. The book describes the destiny of persecuted Austrian lawyers in the years 1938 until 1945.  

On the occasion of the 50^th Anniversary Celebration of the Israel Bar Association a ceremony in Yad Vashem takes place. In this ceremony “Advokaten 1938” and comparable books from Germany and Holland will be committed – in commemoration of persecuted lawyers from Austria, Germany and Holland. The ceremony takes place in front of high ranking representatives of bar associations from all over the world, including a delegation from Austria, among them the co-initiator of the book, Dr. Alix Frank-Thomasser and the president of the Austrian Bar Association, Dr. Gerhard Benn-Ibler.
