Ennsegg Chamber Orchestra
The Austrian Ennsegg Chamber Orchestra performed in New Delhi this October. With the beautiful Ennsegg Castle near Austria’s oldest city as their home base, the Ennsegg Orchestra plays concerts of the highest standard and in formations from a chamber- to a large classical orchestra in Austria and abroad. The young orchestra was founded by musicians with extensive classical music background who have all played in a variety of renowned orchestras in the past. Their New Year’s Concert is annually enjoyed by over 1000 guests and in 2013 for the first time has been conducted by Gerald Wirth, president and artistic director of the renowned Vienna Boys' Choir.
The orchestra played an energetic evening concert of western classical music including Austrian waltz and polka pieces on Friday, 25 October 2013 and a special classical spiritual concert at the Cathedral Church of the Redemption on Sunday, 27 October 2013.
