Austrian artists at Colombo Art Biennale "Becoming", Sri Lanka
We are proud to present a group of Austrian artists at the most important Sri Lankan contemporary art event, the Colombo Art Biennale, taking place from 15 to 19 February 2012.
Over a period of five days, at art and culture venues around the city of Colombo, Sri Lankan, South Asian, and international artists present their work to an interested audience. A full programme under the theme “Becoming” will include interactive installations, live performances, talks, curated walks, video art, and eye-catching installations of art.
Austrian curator Roman Berka, Director of the Viennese “museum in progress”, has been chosen to organize the international programme of the Biennale, alongside Indian curator Suresh Jayaram, Director of the 1 Shanti Road Gallery in Bangalore, India.
