Austrian Membership in the UN Human Rights Council
The promotion and protection of human rights are of utmost importance to Austria. Austria is committed to a comprehensive protection of human rights at national and international level.
In May 2011, Austria has been elected by the UN General Assembly as a member of the Human Rights Council for a three-year term.
