United Nations in Nairobi

Nairobi is since 1996 the youngest of the four UN headquarters and the only one in a developing country. The UN Offices at Nairobi (UNON) are since 1996 the seat of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and the United Nations Human Settlements Program (UN-HABITAT), under a common administration (UNON), as well as accommodating a large number of regional agencies.
