Federal President Dr. Heinz Fischer welcomes the candidacy of the UN-Secretary General Ban Ki-moon for a second term of office.

Vienna 7 June (OTS) - "Ban Ki-moon has fully justified his election as Secretary General of the United Nations five years ago through his committed and dedicated work in accordance with the principles of this world organization . The cooperation between Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and Austria, respectively Vienna as one of the seats of the United Nations, has been excellent, and he deserves full support for a second term of office“,  the Federal President said today.
