E-Voting workshop 2009
The international workshop on 'e-voting from abroad: demands, doables, dreams' was held on 18 and 19 May 2009 in Vienna (Austria) - followed by an informal international observation of the i-voting of the elections of the Austrian Federation of Students in Vienna.
The aim of the workshop was to exchange experiences with and plans for e-voting from abroad amongst international experts in e-voting. Lessons learnt from and possible standard-setting for observation of e-voting were also addressed.
Representatives of election-related authorities, international organisations, academia, implementing enterprises, expatriates organisations and independent experts (ref. list of participants) shared their knowledge and experiences regarding e-voting by presenting and discussing the lessons learnt by focusing on e-voting from abroad at national, regional and European levels.
